Wednesday, May 13, 2009?
The verdict is out: I never regretted coming to SOT even though I will drop out of the school with 3 wks to go and hopefully I can involve in the graduation.

I had my Mock CG today. Yesterday was Worship, Friday is Games but today was preaching. I prepared this sermon many months ago. I only modify it 2-3 days ago. It was really hot from the oven. I know what I want to preach about but never have the time to rehearse on my own.

Yesterday after school, I got to go to the hospital and then to my grandma house for an emergency family meeting. I reach home around 12am++. I am tired and sleepy. So I go through my sermon twice. I felt not enough but I am really very tired. So I pray for the help of the Holy Spirit.

In the morning, cuz I was allocate in R3 so I have time to look through my notes again and again until my turn. After Shu Jun finish her warmth, the stage was set for the last preacher of the day. - Me. haha... I really preach like there is no tomorrow. With time in my mind, I really preach with speed. It was tough because when you preach fast, you tend to left out things.

The evaluation was done by Dawn, PA to Ps Tan Ye Peng. Her daughter, Denise was once my PlayGrp kids haha. Cutie too! I was waiting for her to gave me feedback with my pen and paper ready to write down. That was what she said to me...
  1. Sermon title was good, catch people attention
  2. Good introduction
  3. Easy pointer for people to remember
  4. Personal testimony based on the pointer. Relating to the message and was good.
  5. Clear altar call

She then said overall was very good! I was shock.. how come no bad point mention?? Haha but she mention 1 small little mistake that I made which i won't share haha it was a minor mistake haha. I was happy and glad everything was over. After the school, many people came up to me say "it was a very good message", "power la u", "you really preach very well" etc.. (nt to hao lian la).... Hiro from Japan came to me and said it was a good message I learn something from you and you are talented! I tell you I nearly cried. Kumar from India likewise say the same thing and say I can be CGL!! Paul from korea told me I am really talented and can be a CGL... wa lau I was in heaven man... and of course I will not get carried away and to improve more on it. Imagine Paul.. he is a pastor in korea with more than 2000 members!! And he told me I am talented! I was speechless...

I approach Dawn for further feedback. But she just kept saying I was good and the whole 7mins preaching was good etc... she ask me am I a CGL. I said NO... and she say I can be a CGL!! Wa... it sum up everything. She praise my sermon was good and think I can do a lot of things now in the CG. I am really grateful to all the people who encourage me and praise my achievement.

Nevertheless I will not think that I have arrives and start to be complacent. I will improve in my preaching and the content of the sermon. Now is waiting for the preaching test to come!

ALL GLORY BE TO GOD!!!
