I was in the train to service alone today. Through out the journey, I reflect a lot of things. Some in which really trouble me. I just could not get out of it.... Service today was ok.. Ps Casey Treat share a typical kind of weekend message of Faith. I am excited to know that Ps John Bevere coming in the coming January and also Ps Paul Scanlon in March. John Bevere is no stranger to us but Paul Scanlon will be new to us. Last year Ps Kong went to his church to preach in a Conference. I watch the highlight and was very encourage by the passion in the people hearts. They are based in Bradford, UK. This year, Ps Kong is going to preach again in the coming month. Do visit Ps Scanlon's church website and get to know his ministry. http://www.alm.org.uk/conferences/stronger/

I always like to walk through the street of Orchard during weekdays with my Bermudas ans slipper. There is lesser crowd and also free and easy during weekdays. After service today, I went for a walk at Orchard as I am getting something. It was crowded and there were too many couple around. I was very discourage. After so much has gone pass this few days it really affected me. I see so many "botak" guy enjoying shopping with their GF. So envy them. After a tough week of NS, they can be with their love one during weekend. I see them and I see myself.....hai =( Is still good to go Orchard during weekdays.

I am very pleased of the service provided by Trumpet Praise. I went to PS to get some books and unfortunately it is being sold out. So without me asking, the staff went to check for me whether is still available at the other outlets. She came back to me and said is safer to go Novena square then to J8. So I just say ok. She offer to reserve the book for me at Novena square but I say don't need. I said I will go myself. I went to Novena and go straight to the book shelves. I still cannot find the books so I took a book by the same author to the sales person. To my surprise those book that I requested is being prepare for me!! O man I am so touched by their service. Really they pay attention to details. Full marks for them. Well done Trumpet Praise.

Just came home from my long distance run. Is been a long while I run at night. As usual whenever I run long distance, there must have a purpose - training for Marathon or feeling down. Although I sign up for my Marathon this year, I cannot make it. So I gave Wei chen to run. I was feeling a bit down so decide to run. I ran as fast as I could. Hope I can run away all my sorrows and hurt away. It was a quiet road near the sports school. There was nobody around I can only heard some toad making sound. I continue running very fast and the road seem endless.... Making myself very tired from running is equivalent to drinking till drunk. That is me. I don't drink I run. =(

A R Bernard said in his book "Happiness is..." that happiness is Love.
"Love is a choice. Either you choose to behave lovingly toward others... or not; either you behave yourself in ways that enhance the relationships... or not. But make no mistake: genuine love requires effort. If you want to build relationships that last, you must be willing to do your part" I had done my part all this while, have you? I am glad that at least I am found faithful in this friendship. It show that all my effort have been appreciated. I think a lot since our chat last night. Reality hit me after I say out those words. I guess it was a moment of disappointment ba. But i was really hurt when those words came out from ur mouth. I felt so lost after hearing that. God has a purpose. 3 wishes I made in the beginning of the year. 2 has come to pass or coming to pass, is just left that very wish that can feel my soul with love.

Went to IT fair today with my classmate. I saw a sweet little pretty girl this afternoon which make me very regret big time!!! Y? The story goes.....

I was a TAF club Chairman in my Sec school during my N-level year. SO every morning I got to reach early together with my instructor to monitor the TAF members running for their morning run. There is this girl, not very fat, in her sec 1 or 2 I can't remember. She always come very early to chat with me. Then as day go by, I feel a little bit funny. Haha soon I heard from many people that she likes me. OMG I freak out!! If i were to stead with A TAF girl, all my friend will begin to laugh at me!!! So I never talk to her since only some smile occasionally. After few months, she was out from TAF. Then during my O-level year, I knew that she begin to change and getting prettier. But then during tt time I was wooing a girl so never really pay attention to her. In de end the girl reject me BIG TIME!! Now also become ugly LOL.... heng. So just now I saw the TAF girl working at IT Fair, I look at her and think who is she and y is she smiling at me? I look at her again and remember. OMG... so chio sia... become a sweety le... wa man I regretted sia.... Hai... life is never fair. No fate ba.... Haha I ask my friend to help me find her friendster and maybe ask her out for a meal hehe. Most importantly must ask whether she got a BF mah. Don't worry if she is unchurch, I'll bring her to church. =)

Tomorrow is teacher day. I also a teacher lor.... so wish me yea? Going back to teach in children church this weekend and I am looking for it. YEPPY!

It was a nice graduation of SOT 2008. I was there to support Daphne even though I have my exams in the next few days. I was really proud of her because she had gone through mountain and valley during this 5 mth period. Finally with God's grace, she EMERGE victorious. Well done Daphne!! I was serving very hard for her family but there was some hiccup in between so I do hope her parents still have a great time! Her dad is a joker man... although he has a "high class language" but still a loving father and have a fun loving personalities. Daphne look exactly like her mum. Very identical haha. Next will be Daphne's 21st birthday hehe....

I am believing God for SOT 2009. The school fee of $1500, I am intending to fully pay by myself. So once i graduate from NYP, I am going to work for 2 months before going for SOT. Below is the SOT 2009 Advertisement paste on my board. Everyday I am going to confess and visualise it haha. Anyway I am not blogging until Wednesday le going to study for my last 2 paper. The bible says in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 (New Living Translation) that there is a Time for Everything.

1 For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.
2 A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest.
3 A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4 A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance.
5 A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
6 A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7 A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
8 A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace.

So the Bible say very clearly that there is a season for everything. I am now currently finishing my final exam in NYP life and going to FYP next. Feb 2009 I be graduating le. So this few weeks of study break, I have been thinking about what am I going to do in the next 5 years or maybe 10 year? What I will call Reyes's 10 years plan. It involve my career and marriage. Maybe not the 2nd half of the 10 years yet but at least the coming 5 years. So God been speaking to me on how and what I am going to do. I have a few option la so I am consulting some of the friends on the possible outcome. I need to have a vision in mind because the Bible say a man without a version will go back to his past and perish. Ya so I am thinking of going to SOT 2009. I think it might be happening. There is a lot of stuff I am praying for la.

Then this few weeks, KL have share with us about BGR etc. He said something that really open up my mind and make me wait for the right time. Just now he spoke to the young adult people about the things we are doing this season of time. He share with us about marriage, what to prepare etc la. So is like suddenly all this thing are coming to me. So I feel now is the season after NYP for me to plan and decide my future. I need to know where I am heading so as to give my 2nd half a sense of security and my commitment to her as a man. Is still early stage for me but I am working very hard to achieve my dream. I may not be as smart as some other guy or as rich as some may be or even have a better future as most of them. But I know 1 thing if I don't despise the day of small beginning and follow Jesus all the day of my life I know I will prosper and live a life of victory.

30 ways that make a girl happy

1. Tell her she is beautiful
2. Hold her hand at any moment . . .even if it’s just for a second.
3. Hug her from behind
4. Leave her voice messages to wake up to.
5. Wrestle with her :)
6. Don’t go hang out with you ex when she is not with you, you might not realize how badly it hurts her.
7. If you’re talking to another girl, when you're done talking, walk over and hug her and kiss her....let her know she's yours and they aren't.
8. Write her notes or call her just to say "hi"
9. Introduce her to your friends . . .as your girlfriend.
10. Play with her hair.
11. Pick her up (she loves it)
12. Get upset if another guy touches her and she doesn't like it
13. Make her laugh1
4. Let her fall asleep in your arms.
15. If she's mad at you, kiss her.
16. If you care about her, then TELL HER
17. Every guy should give their girl 3things: a stuffed animal (she'll hug it overtime she goes to sleep),jewelry (she'll treasure it forever),and one of her t-shirts (she'll most likely wear it to bed) or sweat shirts sprayed with her cologne!! And flowers or something occasionally.
18. Treat her the same around your friends as you do when you're alone.
19. Look her in the eyes and smile.
20. Hang out with her on weekends
21.Kiss her in the rain (girls love this)
22.Kiss her just for the heck of it
23. If your listening to music, let her listen too.
24. Remember her birthday and get her something, even if it’s simple and inexpensive, it came from YOU. It means the entire world to HER.
25. When she gives you a present on your birthday, Christmas, or just whenever, take it and tell her you love it, even if you don't (it'll make her happy.)
26. Always call her when you say you will, it may not seem like it, but it does hurt her and makes her think you don't care so call even if you can only talk for a minute.Girls don't necessarily have to have hour long conversations every night but it’s nice for us to hear your voice even for a quick hello.
27. Give her what she wants
28. Recognize the small things . . .they usually mean the most.
29. Don't hug her friends or your friends that are girls cause she'll feel left out.
30. Hang out with her whenever you are free and u should be free to hang with your girlfriend all the time

Once upon a time I was falling in love But now I'm only falling apart There's nothing I can do A total eclipse of the heart Once upon a time there was light in my life But now there's only love in the dark Nothing I can say A total eclipse of the heart

All of a sudden, I am afraid. I am scare. My faith level drop. I no longer have the capacity to pursuit the love I am after. I am disturbed by the things that is happening around me. I start to doubt myself. What make me think that I can do better than them to prevent such thing from happening? My future is still uncertain that why I can't give her any sense of security. I am playful in my own nature. I can't wait anymore because I don't deserve it and I don't know how to maintain it. Why must true happiness always end in a sadden way? Why must the promise and passion be broken? There is no love that can last for eternal but only the Love of Jesus that can last to eternal. I know I love her but is she getting the message? Perhaps this is the question many people ask that also lead to broken relationship.....

Why Men are Happier Than Women

WHY MEN ARE HAPPIER THAN WOMEN

 The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.
 Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
 Car mechanics tell you the truth.
 Same work, more pay.
 Wedding dress $5000. Tuxedo rental - $100.
 One mood all the time.
 A five-day holiday requires only one suitcase.
 You can open all your own jars.
 You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness,
 If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.
 Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack.
 You only have to shave your face and neck.
 You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
 You can "do" your nails with a pocket knife.
 You can do your Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24th in 25 minutes.

No wonder men are happier!

A few extras for those who are really keen ...

- New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
- You can play with toys all your life.
- One wallet and one pair of shoes -- one color for all seasons.
- You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.
- Your last name stays put.
- The garage is all yours.
- Wedding plans take care of themselves.
- Chocolate is just another snack.
- You can never be pregnant. (Amen)
- Wrinkles add character.
- Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.
- You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.

I also got this "30 ways that make a girl happy" haha qute interesting. Is a secret manual for me LOL. Maybe I'll post it on friday ba. Hehe.... :)

Time passes by so fast as 1 week had pass for the 2008 Beijing Olympic. I was enjoying watching the swimming competition every morning. Tonight lets hope Singapore Table Tennis girls will win the Gold although the chances are slim. Haha. Really enjoy the various sports in the Olympic but anyway Premier League is back and who care about Olympic. Manchester United rule and reign!!

Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt are 2 human from other planet. They are really "god" in their respective sports.

Michael Phelps
He don't swim. He flies... He is a swimming machine. The god of water. He took part in 8 categories and guess what? He won all 8 and broke 7 World record!! I salute him completely. Hail Michael Phelps.
Men's 4 x 100m Medley Relay Final WR
Men's 100m Butterfly Final OR
Men's 200m Individual Medley Final WR
Men's 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay Final WR
Men's 200m Butterfly Final WR
Men's 200m Freestyle Final WR
Men's 4 x 100m Freestyle Relay Final WR
Men's 400m Individual Medley Final WR

Usain Bolt
Usain Bolt is like cheetah. I see him run the semi final to the final and I was left stunned and speechless. Same as Michael Phelps, when I watch I got very excited because both this guy will perform miracle in front of your eyes. During the semi final, Usain Bolt was simply relax and cruising to victory all under 10sec while the rest struggle to qualify for the final. He always will look to his left and right to see if he is leading. That was confidence. During the final, I expect him to give his 101%. But guess what? I think he only give 80% and if you watch the final, you will know what I mean. The bottom line is Jamaican Usain Bolt easily smashed his own world mark in a time of 9.69s to win the Olympic 100m final.

The soccer fever is back!! Amen!!!!!! Haha... I was talking to 1 of the sister in my CG that girls always get angry during the weekend. Why? Because of their boyfriend watching soccer.

I saw this Tiger beer advertisement on the newspaper. "Sleepless nights, angry bosses and irritable girlfriends. Football's own baptism of fire!" Haha how true is that! Is ole ole time lor... Yeah Goallllllll.......

Tomorrow I will talk about this man call Michael Phelps. Don't know who is he? Then be sure to visit this web again tomorrow :)

You know I am sick and tired seeing young people get touch by God and then because of something they backslide. Is just so sad!

Top 10 Life Changes that Cause Young People to Drop Out of Church

This list is similar, but a bit different. Over 90% of drop outs happen during a “life change” season. Many of the top 10 “life change” moments that fueled the drop out seem mundane. But, when a person is in the process of fazing out of church, almost anything can become the proverbial straw that breaks the camel’s back.

Here are the top 10 “life changes” that cause young people to quit church:
10. Lost touch with my church-going friends
9. Family responsibilities preventing me from attending
8. Made life decision not accepted by the church
7. School responsibilities preventing me from attending
6. Spending more time with friends outside of church
5. Became too busy, but still wanted to attend
4. Moved too far away from church.
3. Change in work schedule
2. Moved to college.
1. Simply wanted a break from church

Source: soon-to-be released book by Thom Rainer and Sam Rainer called “Essential Church”

Some reflection questions ...
1. What life change experienced caused you to withdraw from church? OR
2. Why did you stay in church even through life change seasons?

Should I Wait or Date?
On the one hand, you don’t want to get ahead of God.

You’ve done that plenty of times before … going out on dates with people you barely know, then spending every waking moment talking, texting, and planning a future together before you even know each other’s middle names. And always with the same results—disappointment, regret, and dashed hopes.

Should you just keep to yourself, hoping God will mysteriously drop Mr./Ms. Right next to you by the banana bin at the grocery store, your eyes catching as you reach for the same bunch? It seems to work for those folks over in Hollywood. But this time, you’ve decided you want to do it God’s way because you’ve made too many mistakes rushing ahead of Him before.

On the other hand, what if you miss the boat?

In this heroic decision to wait completely on God, the days, months, and maybe years go by while you’ve done everything short of checking yourself in to a monastery (or the equivalent). But the doorbell never rings, and the produce section never produces. What if there was more you should have done? How do you know for sure?

BUT … wait! Before you cruise down the produce aisle, check out some reasons why dating is not the move for you right now.

- God has impressed upon you not to get involved with anyone for a (specified or unspecified) reason or length of time
- God has instructed you to allow the opportunity for your unmarried ex-spouse to reconcile with you (this is normally the rule, not the exception)
- You’re not completely healed emotionally from past relationships (angry, depressed, needy, or bitter)
- You’re insecure or hoping another person will complete you (emotionally, financially, or spiritually) or make you happy
- You’re not “technically” divorced
- You’re rebounding from another relationship
- You have a history of choosing “losers” and haven’t figured out why or how to stop the cycle

For the few who are left, we can now safely answer the question … to date or not to date?

FOP 2008 was awesome! Sadly to say I misused my authority to book a floor area seat that was so close to the stage. Haha. I know my CG and I enjoy ourselves. Parachute Band was very good. I underestimate them. Especially the worship song "glorified". Hillsong team lead us into a time of intimacy with God. They are indeed the best of best in the world. THIS IS OUR GOD!
SOB SOB... Ps Derek is going back to America this week. For 1 month till 3 Sep. Ethan, Erin and Erika going to visit their Ah Gong and Ah Ma. Sad lor 1 month cannot see them. This will be the first time I cannot celebrate Ethan's birthday but I will still deliver what I has promise him - A present. I ask him what he wants but he too shy to say. Auntie Joy, their 1st maid is travelling with them. I was teasing her "wa auntie so good can seat aeroplane travel with pastor haha" then the other auntie, the 2nd maid "wa auntie so you stay at home issit?" She replied me "ya the whole house is mine" LOL... I told her that can I visit your house? Haha I think Pastor gonna kill me. I understand from auntie Joy that although Erin ignored me every week, but she did mention about me at home. Hehee I am so touch. Tell you guys a secret... Auntie Joy show me her HP full of pictures of Pst Derek's house. It was very nice but messy... do you noe y? FULL OF TOYS! Haha. Below are Erika and Erin. Did not manage to take Ethan because he is running around. :))
Sunday Morning I went to Covenant Evangelical Free Church. Went with Jason and Kelvan. It is their opening ceremony of their new church building near my house. Just 5 minutes walk. My mum ask me to transfer.. should I?? Anyway the only structure or thing that caught my attention is the baptism pool. It located at the lobby 1st level. Look very creative. Other than that all the thing lose to our CHC JW building HEHE..... Their service to me was boring haha. The song they sung was like hymn. Slow and Sian. Haha. Jason has no problem with that because he grew up in that culture. But for me I grew up in CHC and is rock man... ahha how to sing hymn?? how to pray without speaking in tongue? I can't even shout and say YES when I turn to a verse? Haha so I think CHC suit me so I am not going to obey my Mum... LOL.
At night actually should go FOP but I got a Dinner to attend. It was a dinner celebrating National day. Enjoy myself fellowship with all my "Beng" friend haha no la all my good buddy. To my surprise, our very own City harvest Church StrikeForce was performing!!! They perform the last item and it really blow everyone away! Glory to God.

I need you guys to pray for me. This coming Wednesday 930am, I will be having interview with my School Director. It is regard to my FYP to France. So it going to be very important. Keep me in your prayer. O Ya and also this coming Wednesday 315pm - 445pm, I am having my Common test. Pls Pray for me. Thanks.
I thought this year NDP will be the most memorable 1. I finally got the tickets by E-ballot. But guess what? My bubble is being blew off by a prelim exam. Hai.... :( Drew and I was chatting then he told me 1 thing that set me thinking. "She is a good girl, do treat her well." Guess what I reply? __________

3rd Anniversary
Time files..... I served my 3rd year of ministry just now at the FOP 2008. Thinking back, I had accomplish many wonderful achievement. From a boy doing all the cleaning to becoming a teacher that play a part in the kids life. I begin to build relationship with them, the maid and the parents. Now most of the parents call me CK. Haha they treat me as friend le. Hehe. In this 3 years, I get to learn many skills and other stuff. Ethan my 1st few kids whom I came across now becoming a kor kor of 2, Erin and Erika, is turning 5 yrs old in the coming weeks. Gonna buy him a gift le haha. The greatest satisfaction is to see the kids go out of the class with joy and when they promoted to the next class, they will still remember can greet you by name. Wa man I tell you it melt my heart. I pray that the next 1 year will be even better.. :)
