'The Today Show' talk about the important role women play in churches. And I think the role of women is the soul of society!
Different Pastor's wife have their own unique calling given by God. In the video, it show Victoria Osteen and Lisa Young on how they support their husband Joel Osteen and Ed young in the ministries in reaching out to more people according to what that is preaches every weekend.
The method use by them are different but the message is the same!
In the Bible... Mt 28:19-20 (The Great Commission), Jesus say go into all the world (WHERE) and preach the gospel (WHAT) to every creature (WHO) but Jesus never say HOW.
So I believe the message is sacred but the method is not. We ought to be creative in reaching to our culture today!
So let support our very own Sun. She is doing a work that no any other woman in Church history has done before. We should be behind her and praying for her. Lets be fancy free!
Time really files... 1 year ago I board a KLM flight bound to Paris for a 3 mths stay. Now is about 1 year le. That time was 1 of my most memorable period of my life. It was a thrill living in Paris and exciting to engage their culture.
Below are some of my pictures. I went to Eiffel tower, Euro Disneyland, Louvre, Champs Elysees and 5 days in London for a holiday. I went to Manchester! That was a dream come true for me. OMG.. I shall stop here if not I will go on and on. Hee... is good to look back at my past especially is good memory.
Definitely, I will go visit Paris again. It is like my 2nd nation although I live there for 3 mths only. But I do my grocery, study and sleep there... so I have feeling for Paris. The next time I visit, by God's grace it will be my honeymoon. =)
For those who have not seen my post in Paris for that 3 mths, you may visit my achieves from Oct 2008 to Dec 2008.

Isn't it strange how a 20 dollar bill seems like such a large amount when you donate it to church, but such a small amount when you go shopping?
Isn't it strange how 2 hours seem so long when you're at church, and how short they seem when you're watching a good movie?
Isn't it strange that you can't find a word to say when you're praying but…you have no trouble thinking what to talk about with a friend?
Isn't it strange how difficult and boring it is to read one chapter of the Bible but how easy it is to read 100 pages of a popular novel?
Isn't it strange how everyone wants front-row-tickets to concerts or games but they do whatever is possible to sit at the last row in Church?
Isn't it strange how we need to know about an event for Church 2-3 weeks before the day so we can include it in our agenda, but we can adjust it for other events in the last minute?
Isn't it strange how difficult it is to learn a fact about God to share it with others; but how easy it is to learn, understand, extend and repeat gossip?
Isn't it strange how we believe everything that magazines and newspapers say but…we question the words in the Bible?
Isn't it strange how everyone wants a place in heaven but…they don't want to believe, do, or say anything to get there?
Isn't it strange how we send jokes in e-mails and they are forwarded right away but when we are going to send messages about God, we think about it twice before we share it with others?

10 foods for longevity
According to USA Weekend.com, Science says these 10 can help you live longer, better.
1. Tomatoes.
These are a major source of the strong antioxidant lycopene. Lycopene reduces the risk of cancer by 40% -- notably prostate, lung and stomach cancers -- and increases cancer survival. Tomato eaters function better mentally in old age and suffer half as much heart disease. Concentrated tomato sauces (pizza, pasta sauces) have five times more lycopene than fresh tomatoes. Canned tomatoes have three times more than fresh.
2. Olive oil.
It's a major part of a Mediterranean diet, shown to help reduce death from heart disease and cancer. Heart-attack survivors on a Mediterranean diet had half the death rates of those on an ordinary low-fat diet, recent research shows. A famous researcher, Ancel Keys, once declared olive oil the main dietary reason for remarkably low mortality rates among Mediterranean populations. Olive oil, unlike other vegetable oils, is high in antioxidant activity.
3. Red grapes, including red grape juice and wine.
Red grapes have moderate antioxidant power. But purple grape juice tops other juices in antioxidant activity, having four times more than orange or tomato juice. Red wine (but not white) has about the same antioxidant capacity as purple grape juice or tea. French research shows that drinking wine, primarily red, in moderation increases longevity. Caution: Excessive drinking cuts life short, so limit alcohol to one or two drinks a day. Drink grape juice
4. Nuts.
These are one of our early evolutionary foods and ultra-compatible with survival. Recent Harvard University research found that eating more than 5 ounces of nuts a week cut heart-attack deaths in women by 40% and helped prevent deadly irregular heartbeats in men. Almonds and walnuts lower blood cholesterol. Nuts are high in fat, but most is good-type monounsaturated and/or omega-3. Best bet: unsalted nuts.
5. Whole grains.
The more whole grains you eat, the lower your odds of death, a new University of Minnesota study suggests. Middle-aged women who ate slightly more than one whole-grain food per day had a 15% lower death rate than women eating lots of refined processed grains. That calls for more whole-grain dark bread and cereals such as All Bran and "old-fashioned" oatmeal. Whole grains contain anti-cancer agents and help stabilize blood sugar and insulin, which may promote longevity.
6. Salmon and other fatty fish.
Contains high amounts of the type of fat -- omega-3 -- that performs miracles throughout the body, fighting virtually every chronic disease known. Without it, your brain can't think, your heart can't beat properly, your arteries clog, your joints become inflamed. How much? You need at least an ounce a day, or two servings of a fatty fish a week. Both red and pink canned salmon are rich in omega-3. Other fish high in omega-3: sardines, mackerel, herring and tuna.
7. Blueberries.
One of the highest foods in antioxidants, say Tufts University researchers. Blueberries are so powerful in retarding aging in animals that they can block brain changes leading to decline and even reverse failing memory. How much? The human equivalent used in animal studies: a half-cup of frozen or fresh blueberries a day.
8. Garlic.
It's packed with antioxidants known to help fend off cancer, heart disease and all-over aging. Garlic has prolonged cancer-survival time and extended animal lifespans by about 5%, which in humans might add about four years, German researchers have found. A tip from researchers at Penn State: Let crushed garlic "rest" about 10 minutes before cooking it, to preserve disease-fighting agents.
9. Spinach.
This super health-promoter is second among vegetables only to garlic in antioxidant capacity. It's also rich in folic acid, which helps fight cancer, heart disease and mental disorders. In animals, it protects aging brains from degeneration, according to studies at Tufts. New University of Kentucky research shows folic acid may help prevent Alzheimer's disease. Both raw and steamed spinach have strong antioxidant activity.
10. Tea.
Green and ordinary black tea pack the same amounts of antioxidants and have equal benefits, experts say. Harvard researchers recently found that drinking 1 cup of black tea a day cut heart-disease risk in half. Be sure to make ice tea from loose tea or tea bags; instant tea and bottled teas contain minimal antioxidants, tests at Tufts University show.

It was a nice Sunday morning as I travel down to Expo for service. I was pondering on the 1 day policy. Which mean for now or for the rest of this year, I will only either go church on Sat or Sun. Cuz I am totally drain out from Mon to Fri on waking up everyday at 5am travelling to and fro for 3 hrs to camp. Transport fee also a killer.
My thinking was that I will attend Sunday Expo service. So I can go for service and see my kids. Is like fulfilling 2 things at once. Today I tried and I really enjoy the experience. Upon reaching the church, I help up to set up the playgroup room and prepare to greet the children and the parents. After the service I came to help sent the kids off and not forgetting to look for my boy Ethan for a chat. I really enjoy fellowship with him, he is just like my younger brother.
I was too looking for Joash and Joyce. I can't find them at all. But as I walk outside after I clean the mat, I saw Joash riding on a bicycle. I was overjoyed. Haha... I ask him where is ah mei (Joyce) and he show me the way. From far I saw a little cute girl and she is Joyce. O man... my cutie.. I told her that I couldn't find her just now but she insist that she saw me walk pass her LOL
I had a few interesting conversation with 3 kids.
1st Conversation Reyes ("R") 1st kids (Forgot the name "A")
A: Hey teacher, Y did u cut ur hair? (With a curious and confused face) (His maid laughing) R: (State of shock yet wanna laugh) Ehhh... good question R: I also don't know A: It is nice.
LOL... haha it was so funny la even his maid laughing non stop
2nd Conversation 2nd kids (Ethan)
R: Gd morning Ethan (Hug) E: Gd morning teacher CK R: Ethan I got to go for service, I look for you later ok? E: (Look at me) OK. E: The service has just begin, you better get going. R: LOL....
I ran out of the room and rush to the main hall. Haha.. he is that smart la. As he heard the Praise start, he immediately ask me to go for service fast. Baobei... =)
3rd Conversation 3rd kids(Lisa and Lara)
After the service.... Lara: Hi teacher CK R: Hi lara, Hi Lisa Lisa: Teacher u cry ar? R: (State of shock) Lisa: R you crying? R: (Really paisei le cuz her mum was there) R: Yes Lisa, teacher CK just came back from service. R: Jesus say hi to me that why teacher cry just now. (LOL.. don't know how to reply) Lara: Jesus is in my heart R: LOL...
Really la... I gone through all the shit from Mon to Fri but Sunday can go to church for service and to have a time with my kids are truly amazing. It is quality time to me that money cannot buy. I mean I can easily go JW svs and sleep a bit late but I choose to wake up early and travel all the way down to Expo. This show my passion to all my beloved kids. I really hope this will happen every week but I know there will be some opposition from JW side.
I hung out with my ministry friends in the afternoon. We had lunch together. Then I meet Jason and company at Wisma. Saw how Aihui study so hard for her exams and I can't even help her in anything. Seem so helpless. Sometime there is so much things to say to her but when I see her, I don't know what to say. I scare I say the wrong thing and bring a bad expression to her.
Anyway, maybe some of you guys know who is Edmund and had read his blog. He is 1 of the Zone Z in CHC. He has a son, Nathan in my class. Today he is very emo... so cuteeee. His maid went back to Canada that why he emo.. I guess so...

I got those pictures from Ps Derek's FB. It was Ethan 6th birthday. Time files... haha my boy has grown up to be a Primary 1 boy. Looking at those pictures, he is getting more and more like pastor and good looking too. I bet he is 1 of the smartest kids around. His English is very powerful haha sometime I also don't understand. He gave me jokes that I can't even crack OMG!
I bought him 2 transformer toys from Robinson. Got hint from auntie Joy that Ethan loves transformer. To my surprise, 2 wks ago, he brought them to church to play haha.
Looking back for the past 4 years since the very 1st day I saw Ethan. He is only 2 yrs old. I am 21 this yr le. This is the amazing thing of being in church as a family. We all grow up together. Who knows in 1o years time, Ethan will be in college and I will have my own family! God is just simply amazing.
4 years ago, Ethan and Reyes met for the very first time. 4 years later, look at our transformation! Ethan with no hair becoming more hair and me with hair became no hair! LOL Maybe 5-10 years time, Ethan will become a young and good looking teens and Reyes will becoming old. Haha...
Praise and thx God for this wonderful relationship Ethan and I had. =)

I was brought back to the days of SOT during last weekend service. I was overwhelm by the presence of God. I felt the message preach by Pastor Kong was just the right time for me. As I am going to my new vocation tml, it will be a new ground for me. This past 1 mths or so, my spiritual life have been quite dry, so when Pastor gave that altar call, I was the first to run down to the front. Haha.. learn that in SOT. Pastor Kong laid hand on me and I felt really charged up after that. I hope this will be a new beginning for me as I merely going to camp at 8am and back home in the evening. So is like office hour for me. Hope I can have the motivation to do more in the CG. So much plans and ideas in my mind for the next 2 yrs.
Suddenly feel that I need to be more fruitful and productive for my life even I am in NS. All I hope is to have favour in NS and be able to relate to the people I meet. Felt like a Daniel in Babylon. Spiritual discipline are important for me to sustain me for the next 2 years. Do keep me in prayer and I believe we will all succeed if we don't give up in God.

The Sabbath God told us to take a day off. Many pastors don’t.
Those of you in smaller churches might think, “We simply can’t. Without any staff, there is always an emergency.”
Those of you in larger churches might say, “We can’t because there are too many pressing issues in a large church.”
Those who are staff members might say, “Our pastor might get a day off but we have to work.” All those are poor excuses. If you don’t rest, you won’t last.
Boundaries Some people believe a pastor should be available 24 hours a day for every situation—no matter what.
I disagree.
When you study the life of Jesus, he often escaped from the crowds to spend time alone with God. His “life rhythms” model healthy boundaries.
If a pastor or staff member doesn’t set some boundaries, he won’t be in ministry for long: He will burn out.
She will get resentful.
He will lose his marriage.
She will have an affair.
What works for you? How do you communicate healthy boundaries on your day off? When do you make exceptions?

In SOT I have learn many things. 1 of the thing I have learn was the art of preaching. I learn that to preach a good sermon, 1 should listen to various preacher. Before SOT, I love to read about the life and ministry of a preacher. Such as Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyer, Kenneth Copeland, John Bevere, Joel Osteen, TD Jakes and many other American preacher. Positive and negative news, u name it I have it all read before.
Listening to their preaching open my creativity to craft out my sermon and enhance my preaching well. knowing about them, wilden my knowledge about Church and minister all over the world and not just limit to those that come to CHC. This year I get to know more minister in USA and I bet not many people in CHC will know them. Preacher such as Ed Young (He is awesome. A VERY creative pastor), Frank Viola, Erwin Mcmanus, Craig Groeschel, Andy Stanley and many more. Sometime I am wonder y a big church like mine , each year invite the same preacher all over again and again except for 2 1st timer preacher in CHC. Steve Munsey and Paul Scanlon. Megachurches all over the world invite famous preacher to preach in their conference then I talk to myself how I hope they will be in CHC. Then God spoke to me. "Is about relationship. Do you invite people that you do not know to your house?" So I guess as Ps Kong travel around the world and get to know those preacher, who knows once they have develop a relationship you might see Joel Osteen coming to the pulpit of CHC and others too.
I am also curious on different Christian conferences all around the world. The 1 that is famous for will be the Hillsong conference. I mean there is limited world class conference I know. See which churches invite which speaker to speak is very interesting to me haha. I mean I am that curious with what happen to church all around the world Below are trailer of conference that I am familiar with
Hillsong Conference 2010.
CFC Conference. Ps Kong will be speaking together with Ed Young, John Bevere and Tommy Barnett
Presence 2010 with Ps Phil Pringle
Joyce Meyer annual Women convention 2009
City impact church which Ps Kong preached last year. Dr Bernard will be preaching this year
This is our 1st ever conference that feature so many speakers. Asia Conference 2008. I cannot find the trailer for 2010 yet.
Casey Treat's Vision conference
Stronger conference 2008.
This are some of the many trailer or promo I could find. If you know any more do let me know. From what I see, Churches all over the world are using technology to promote conferences. some can be very creative and powerful to get people to come for conference. What your take on this?
