QING MING
It was my 1st Qing Ming. My mum ask me to go n pay my respect to my grandpa whom passed away when I was K2. The cemetery was phenomena. It was breath taking. It was a very big piece of land. I was like speechless. From far look at the place, it was like a mountain view. I am impress. Haha. Siao ar u... LOL
Really thank God for my mum who had been understanding. Few of my auntie was distributing the joss stick around and they want to give me but I reject nicely then a while came another aunt who also want to pass me but my mum stop them. I notice some of the shock faces and I sense the atmosphere was not right when I rejected them. After all of them had pray to my grandpa, my mum ask me go in front of the tomb but as a grandson, I pay my respect by bowing 3 time to him. I know many of them don't agree but I got to stand for my faith.
Some of my friend was saying you Christian still can qing ming? My reply to them was after all I am still a Chinese and I got my culture also. Yes there is some standard I need to follow but ultimately i feel is ok. My cousin shoot many pictures, but I don't want to stumble any1 so decide not to post. Maybe the 1 when I am bowing ba.
Some of them ask me if I can eat the food offer to my grandpa. My stand for me is alright to eat. It is because I have the conviction of 1 Cor 8. If you are unsure about this issue, please go and read it. To me is fine la I just say grace and pray over the food then end of story. Hehe...
I got a booklet on how should we deal with a funeral as a Christian which I feel we need to know to prepare for such thing. We might not be able to involve in the ritual etc but what we can do is to carry things, be a good host to the guest or even collecting love offering from the guest. This are some ways we can pay our respect to those who die. Yeah?
Finally Saturday no service can do more of my own things. Hehe....
