Tonight World Cup final is between Holland and Spain. Many might think the crucial factor that might determine the outcome of this match will be the Head coach of the team. He will be the one who choose who to play and not. But I feel the major factor that might determine the outcome of the match result is the REFEREE. Howard Webb from England will be the official for this match. So who is he??

Howard Melton Webb (born 14 July 1971) is an English football referee who operates in the Premier League and has been a FIFA-listed referee since 2005. He lives in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. He is counted amongst the top referees of all time in a list maintained by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS). Webb first took up refereeing in local Rotherham leagues in 1989. In 1993, he progressed to the Northern Counties East League as an assistant referee, becoming a referee for that league two years later. In 1996, he was appointed as a Football League assistant referee, and, in 1998, fulfilled the same function in the Premier League, as well as being promoted to the Football Conference as a referee.

More on Webb http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/index.html?curid=4335354

The football referee

Professional referees at the top of the games in the UK are paid annual retainer of 33,000 pounds plus up to 600 pounds per match and expenses. When you add up it's not a bad wage for blowing a whistle and waving cards around.

But according to Lan Blanchard, head of national referee development at the FA, it's not as simple as it looks. "There is an art to being a good referee," he says. "You need good communication skills and an ability to make and sell informed decision." Training begins with a basic referee's course run by your local county FA and you must then work your way through a further 8 levels.

Apart from commitment and dedication, you'll also need a thick skin. "Referees need a good level of fitness and to be able to cope with the speed of the game but more than that, they need a strong character. " Abuse from both players and fans comes with the territory, so it's perhaps no surprise that hundreds of wannabe referees abandon the game in the first year. As a result, one in three matches is now played without a ref.

So anybody want to be a referee. I feel when we watch a game, we always act as if we are good at spotting mistake etc but if we put our self in the referee shoes, I think will will be far more worst than them and might be stone to death by the fans haha. Just some fact I got from a magazine by the British Airways some 2 years ago when I was flying to London.

So... tonight my prediction

SPAIN -0.5,

DRAW - Spain, 0-1

Sunday, June 6, 2010?

I came across this sermon that I've prepared during my SOT days as sermon assignment. I feel is a good time to share. Before that maybe I will share something that is truly from the bottom of my heart. 31/5/10, the day after Asia Conference, I was doing guard duty in the evening. I was eating my dinner inside the guard house and I heard on the channel 8 news "The 17 people who are 'assisting police with investigations' included the mega church’s founder and Senior Pastor Kong Hee, who was picked up early Monday morning"... I was shock and worried. My heart sunk and I do not know how to reach during that moment. I went to Facebook and is all over page. In my heart, I was praying for the Church and my pastor.

The next day I went back home and check on the news and internet... it was all over. The newspaper has pages after pages coverage on us. Yes we are being check and someone obviously complained about us. The papers keep compare with us to RenCi, Youth challenge and NKF. 1 of it had since fallen and the rest change in management. I can boldly say City Harvest and the leaders WILL never fall. We are as strong as a solid rock. I like what Victor Lim Fei said "One critical difference is that revenue (donations) for religious charities are generally from their own members." As such, the focus is on accountability to members, "rather than putting the financial statements on the Internet or made available to the public", "Please dissociate CHC w NKF & Renci Hosp. They solicit public funds; we receive members' giving. Fundamentally different."

I heard people say us as "City Money church", a Business church and many term to describe us. Why? Because their mindset have not change. Their mind cannot conceive the reality the Church can berich. They cannot accept the fact how Charismatic church work. Yes I cannot deny that we preach prosperity gospel and we believe in sowing and reaping a 100 fold. We believe in the blessing of God. I also cannot deny that we spent huge amount of money on our creative arts the sound, light, stage decoration, multimedia and live band. Whatever ever we do in Church there is bound to be a biblical reason behind it. I learn in SOT that how we conduct a Church service, we pattern against the design and layout of the Tabernacle. 1 should really study it and find out. Solomon gave, in today context, Billions of dollars to build the temple! I believe in the temple it sure have the latest technology in their time available for them!

What we do in Church, we want to do the best for the glory of God. Can you imagine the Church is backward, ugly and irrelevant?? It reflects badly not on the pastor and the member but God. Why must we allow the clubbing people have the latest music and lighting? Why must we allow the non Christian to enjoy God's creation the most when we as the child of God should be the one who should enjoy it the most? Many people may say it is the people that will reflect well about God etc. Ya is true in a way but get this fact. People look at the outside ONLY God look at the inside.

We spent millions of dollar on Conference and the things I mention above. Many people too will say we should spend it helping the poor and needy. We should not have so much reserve as a Church in the bank. The church cannot this cannot that; the Pastor cannot this cannot that!! GIVE ME A BREAK!!! God never say anything... then why so much comment? Let me ask you, why must you have a saving account? Why must you buy insurance? Why must you eat food with dishes... just porridge and soya sauce will do... that money can feed a hungry children in Africa! Come on can anybody know what I mean? If one has such thinking, then we will be very miserable. We have limited. We cannot do all to help everybody around the world. Even government could not able to do it. But as a Church slowly but surely we have contributed and help in the poor and needy in China as we have seen in Asia Conference. In Haiti and other country we sent workers over to help. Remember the star thrower story? 1 people at a time... This is life... if we can't cloth ourselve then how can we cloth other people and be a blessing to them. We are human being after all and we have a soul that needs to be feed. Compare to the needy people we are fortunate. That is why we thank God for His grace and everything that we have. Then within our ability we contribute back to the society.

I have no idea why people always mix us all together. As if they have contribute 1 cent to the church. But anyway since the Church have not official make any comments on the issue I shall not too. But at the end of the day, I trust my Pastor the Church. There are so many life experience and testimony I can share to tell the world if without the Church and Ps Kong, I will not be who I am today by the grace of God! City Harvest can sum up with this we are: Fun, Exciting, Colorful, Trendy, Fasionable, Progressive, Excellence, Realism, Creative, Sharp, Innovative, Influential, Successful, Rich Yet... Holy, Spiritual, Love people and Love God.

Joseph was a young man who was hated by his brothers. In their anger at him, they imprisoned him in a pit and then sold him into a life of slavery and misery in Egypt. Doubtless Joseph prayed to God to help him escape, but no help was forthcoming, and into slavery he went. Thought he experience years of bondage and misery, Joseph's character was refined and strengthened by his trails. Eventually he rose up to become a prime minister of Egypt who saved thousands of lives and even his own family from starvation. If God had not allowed Joseph's years of suffering, he never would have been such a powerful agent for society justice and spiritual healing.

Our rejection always become our new direction on without rejection,

we will not find our way to God’s direction for our life! All rejection is to propel you towards God’s direction for your life in which you will not by choice go to. From the story we can see that God actually is not sending rejection to say something about you and shut you down as a person but the rejection is about birthing a new option and direction in your life.

So I really believe City Harvest and Ps Kong will be strengthen through this difficult time and as a Church, as a family we will overcome this allegation together. We will have a mighty breakthrough as a church and indivitually. Our destiny has indeed call us! Through sunshine or rain we will love just the same, we are family that love love love one another!

I came across a very interesting article inside The Straits Times on the 11 May 2010. The title caught my attention - Sex is risky business in Britain. It is about 18Million people hurt during sex; injuries include pulled muscles, broken bones. A survey has revealed that nearly 1/3 of the adult population have been injured during sex with pulled muscles being the most common injury.

With so many kind of position, one would think injury during sex is inevitable. Haha... As many as 40% realised they were injured only the morning after because they were overcome with passion and did not notice it at the time. =)

The writer noted that "sex is a risky business these days. There are numerous hazards in and around home which can inflict severe injuries if people aren't careful."

To sum up the whole article... of 'Dangerous love'
Most common injuries during sex
Pull muscles, injured back, carpet burns, cricked neck, bruised elbows/knees, bruised shoulder, twisted knee, sprained/strained wrist, sprained/strained ankle, fingers bent back.
Most dangerous location to have sex
Sofa, stairs, car, shower, bedroom, chair, kitchen table, garden. lavatory, work cupboard.
Most commonly broken items during sex
Bed frame, wine/pint glass, picture, chair, tea cup, wall, chest of drawers, door, window, vase

Their advice to us would be to remove any dangerous objects well before you start making love and take care while doing so. LOL..

Hope you guys enjoy this interesting information. So be careful while enjoying. "p

Today is the first time I am giving testimony. I did not share any verse to my CG but instead I shared something that is from the bottom of my heart. Testimony should be a time of thanksgiving and gratitude towards God. A time to tell everybody how grateful you are to God. I have been in Church for some time and I have listen countless of testimony. Such as " I want to thank God I pass my exam even I never really study for it," or "my parent strike 4D and gave me some money." I never denied that such testimony you should not thank God for but testimony time is a very good platform for people who really go through a lot and they keep on praying and trusting God. They never give up. Then miracle will happen and God will answer prayer!

How to spell the word "Testimony"? TESTimony.... so test comes before testimony. You will be tested my friend! So in the midst of test and trails, you must trust God and keep on praying. Keep on keeping on! So during testimony time, one must share what and how God test you and how you perseverance through and then ultimately tell the people what God did for you. All this give glory to God! This is testimony!

Woot.. haa initially I wanted to find somebody to share with me to buy the CD above. But when I saw Ps Kong brought a CD up to the stage I knew he might give out the CD for free to a person. Yea.. so when he ask who want a free copy, I just lift up my hand and look at him. Surprisingly he look at me and say I will give it to you! I was shock!! I sat on the 4th row and I quickly get out of my seat and run towards Ps Kong. I receive the CD from him! WOW!!! It is an honor man..

This is the 3rd time I was so close with Ps Kong. The 1st time was many years ago, after Emerge Conference, I went to the back room area and I saw him. So I greeted him and he pat on my shoulder! I was so overjoy! The 2nd time was during SOT. Ps Kong was praying for people and I was the catcher. So I get to see Ps Kong expression and action really up close. When he pray for those people, I can really sense how spiritual he is. His passion as a Pastor, i feel not many in the world can really match him. I am biased la haha =)
Recently I know the Sundeck saga was hot news in town after the Jack neo incident. I never been speaking about this issue yet beside my Facebook status. Firstly, for Jack Neo, yes he did made a big mistake and such mistake is unpardoned. But he took responsibility out of it. Everybody make mistake. Be it a celebrity or any other unknown person, we all want forgiveness and a chance to change. Yes his movie is all about values we need to embrace and yet he himself got no moral values. But if we look at another angle, he is doing what all his movie is portrait. Admit your mistake and learn from it. If your heart is truly fill with true repentance, God will indeed forgive your trespasses. That is what makes Christianity so unique and wonderful. We all got to be "dead to sin" I believe God has forgiven Jack Neo and the Church is behind him. The most important is his wife has forgiven him and is standing by his man all this while. This is what I call love unconditionally just like how Jesus loves us. No matter what mistake we did, He is always there with us. Jesus says "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." So you guys decide.

The second was the Suntec saga. I have been following Ps Kong's blog for about a month since the news broke off. I know the concern that most of the people had on the blog. The bottom line is how the MONEY is going to be spent. I learn in SOT that we all ought to obey God in giving for the Kingdom of God. How the money is spent is between the Church and God Himself. We have no part in it. If God found the Church has not been a good steward of His money, the God will judge it just like how Ren Ci and NKF. So we must trust God that all the money is in good hand. I believe God is not stupid at all. He will make sure everything is in order. Someone told me this recently. "As much as we wait on God, we also cannot be ignorant and be naive because at the end of the day we do not want to feel 'cheated'." God will never cheat on us but man will. If God is in our equation, then we will not feel that way. If God is not in it, naturally we will feel cheated to some extent.

Today during service, Holy Spirit reminded me on something. We have all been focusing on why the deal is this and that but we are missing the whole point. For the past 4 years, we've been praying hard and applying all the principles of God for our new building. We cry when we pledge during Arise n Build. We think of ways to give and work part time. Above is Suntec City. In my own personal time for the past years.. I pray for an ironic structure in the marketplace. I visualise there are many escalator going up to the Main auditorium and also a large screen outside the building. And guess what, Suntec city fulfil all these criteria! The 4th dimension works! WOW... We need to always see the miracle and the work of God not of man. We pray and pray for so many years and now God answered our prayer so why must we doubt the whole project? Point to ponder... we have gone through so far as a Church as a family let us continue to build God a great house.

Many people will be very familiar with this household brand. Almost everybody will buy especially during party, events and festival season. Yeo's, I believe has been with use for many years. I remember seeing it on the shelf of USA Supermarket!

I just came across 1 very interesting post and I thought is good to share with all of you.
Like I said, most Singaporeans would be familiar with the brand. Perhaps most would have purchased products by the company. Yet most are unaware that the founder of the Yeo Hiap Seng (YHS) sauce factory in Singapore was a devoted Christian. The early Protestant entrepreneurs, Thian In saw his work as a calling. Though the Presbyterian businessman from Zhangzhou, Fujian, believed in the sovereignty of God, he knew that God had called him to ‘work out’ his salvation ‘with fear and trembling’.

He read the Bible every day, prayed frequently in the bedroom and always led prayer at mealtimes with family members and his workers. Towkay (boss) that he was, Thian In usually ate with his workers at lunchtime.

The father figure also never failed to give thanks to God continually for His blessings. He would hold thanksgiving services for the whole extended family on the birthdays of his five sons. These gatherings were very much like church services. Thian In would take the opportunity to exhort his family members to cling on to God and fear Him. He would also not baulk at openly rebuking his grandchildren for any misbehaviour. The patriarch himself set the moral example by avoiding excesses like alcoholism and extramarital affairs. The long passage of time and blinding success did not cause the founder to lose his love for God. In 1970, Thian In organised a special service to thank God for the completion of a new office at the Bukit Timah building, YHS’ 70th anniversary and his 70th birthday.

Beyond the outward appearance, Thian In regarded his employees and even strangers as his own family. He told his staff to approach him if they needed money. The towkay also kept an opening at the factory door for those who needed soya sauce urgently to treat illnesses after working hours.“My father has no job description for what is a towkay, but he just went all out in serving,” said Alfred, who conceived the book.Thian In’s diligent service for God rubbed off his youngest son. Alfred said: “As I dedicated myself to the Lord his hardworking also rubbed into me to go all out for the Lord. That’s why I have been serving the Lord in the last 50 years without regret.”

What a man of legacy!

THIS IS IT!
I was in a state of shock last night when my Senior Pastor, Kong Hee show us a fantastic video on where is our new place. I waited for abt 4 years for this news. I gave to the arise n build for 4 years and I just pledge my 5th arise n build. No people can be able to understand what I am feeling last night. I been in CHC for 7 years already. The Church belong to me. It is like my second home. I spent almost my entire teen life in Church. I cannot imagine how will I become if I don't belong to a Church.
Last night I was jumping, crying and laughing. I never imagine it will be Suntec City. I believe is by the Grace if God we got to co-owned with Suntec Reit. People may have plenty of things to say but if they been with us long enough, they will have different take on this. I heard 1 neitzen say.. "I am going to change my job to be a Pastor." I want to laugh man... If he can grow a small CG can le let alone a MegaChurch. Haha... so naive.
Put all aside let us celebrate and embrace what God has given to us and not to judge. Indeed we've been confess for the past 4 years had come to pass. In the Marketplace, for the Marketplace and penetrate the Marketplace.

Benny Hinn on Oprah Winfrey and Joel Osteen

Put aside any allegation against Benny Hinn or any controversial he had. I feel his stand on the Bible is very strong. Maybe the way he do things is not very right just like how Paul Scanlon describe about "the giving and get bless" theory but still Benny Hinn is a man of God whom God uses.

Oprah Winfrey said "Jesus is 1 of the ways to go heaven"

Joel Osteen on Larry King program is unsure if Jesus is the only way to go heaven

Benny Hinn is 100% sure that Jesus is the ONLY way to go heaven and he rebuked both oprah and Joel!

I really had a great time during the weekend. My buddy jio me to Butter Factory in fact this is my 2nd time going to club since 2007! I am a home person la seldom go such places LOL. But after that night perhaps I might go more often depend on my finances status haha.

I really like Butter factory because of the environment both indoor and outdoor. It is opposite the IR and SG Flyer. After clubbing can take a stroll down along the river towards the Esplanade. My friend say St James and Rebel are good too lol... overall really enjoy myself with my buddies. =)

We open 1 bottle of Chivas
This is a killer. My friend sabo me. He bought for me this drink that need to put flame on top of it. I don't how to drink causing the straw to burn with fire LOL. Eventually I finish everything. I tot nth happen to me but after 20mins or so... my head start spinning and this is how my evening got started!

Another incident sabo by my friend. He told this Taiwanese girl that I too shy to take picture with her. Haha.. then she came over and surround her hand in my waist. I have no choice but to put my hand over her shoulder...
She is an interesting person. My friend wanted to take a picture with her and dance with her. So we went to look for her again. But to our surprise, in front of us was JJ Lin talking to her. With JJ Lin was the son of Jacky Chan. OMG... we all stunned! Who exactly is this Taiwanese girl? My friend gave up le because how to fight with JJ Lin? Hhaa. Anyway JJ was quite short la.. I am taller then him!

It was a good night! Enjoy the dance with the girls and you know in clubbing what guy will do la. Haha I better don't mention anything in my blog. Enjoy the fellowship with my buddy. Because almost all of them are either drunk or tired, they are all not fit to drive. I drink too but amount all I am the most alert. I am so afraid there will be road block. But eventually, I drove all of them back home safely! Thank God for that. But I will not try that again because it is really very dangerous.
I reach home around 5am. I bearly have 3hrs of sleep. Morning I woke up for Church service. I am so excited because Dr Niko is preaching. The last time I hear him preach was last year during leaders meeting when i was a SOT student. Their praise and worship, Indonesian style was so cool. The worship song immediately pull down the presence of God. I was pump up by the singing and the praying. After service, I went to the children church. As usual I went to look for Ethan and his 2 lovely sisters. I was asking Ethan about his trip to Honduras. He was telling me his experience in taking the plane over and what he did over there... haha. Then have some random chat with him. I am amazed he has grown up so fast over the years. I know Ethan for about 5 years already!!!
I was telling Erika the day I knew Ethan I don't know where are you. Haha because Erika ask Ethan to kick me so I say Ethan ur kor kor will not kick me because I know him way before you was around. Erika stare at me with a blank look wahaha. 1 thing that melt my heart is Erin attitude towards me. For a long period of time, Erin seldom talk to me. She will ask me to go away from her or don't talk to me at all. But recently she begin to be more open towards me. She starts to ask me some question and play with me. I really thank God for that. Every Sunday morning beside going for service, fellowship with the kids really make my day and prepare me for the week ahead. I enjoy a lot. =)
2 handsome young man. -)
I went for my friend wedding after service. I know Hakim for many years already. When I am Primary 5 after I move to woodlands I knew him through playing of basketball. And now he is married to a lovely lady. I wonder when is my turn? =(
I am so sleepy and tired now. Watching Australia Open final now between Roger Federer and Andy Murray. At night 12am still got Man Utd vs Arsenal.
